Characters
The plot of Death Note covers many characters, summarized in two basic groups that revolve around the protagonist Kira / Light Yagami: its supporters and its opponents.
The former comprises the characters Misa Amane and their shinigami, not really on the side of light, but to advocate the death of Misa, Rem, and fan of Kira, from Teru Mikami and Kiyomi Takada, or all that part of the population world that supports the work of the owner of the Death Note with tacit approval duly attested by websites to television programs dedicated to the mysterious "new god", the second group there are three investigators Elle, Near and Mello with their respective special teams agents and forces of the Japanese police and U.S..
The only character completely over the parties is the shinigami Ryuk, that has dropped the notebook on Earth by sheer boredom and curiosity to see what would happen between human beings.
The Death Note
The Death Note notebooks are perfectly common-looking blacks, usually in possession of the shinigami, able to kill anyone as long as certain conditions occur, first of all know the exact name and face of the victim.
Through the use of the Death Note can also specify the cause of death and any other details as the date and time, so as to force the convicted person to undertake activities against his will before death (eg, "X is a certain action and then dies. ") In this way the Death Note becomes not only an instrument of death, but also a way to bend the will of another to take actions that favor the owner of the notebook.
The functional part of the Death Note is the card that makes up the pages: even pages of individual pieces or cuttings, while being separated from the notebook, if you use slow to the same effect. (It is noteworthy that, in Japanese, the words "paper" and "god", though Corresponding with different kanji, are homophonic).
The work begins with a single book in possession of a single human being, but as the story unfolds will make their appearance more notebooks and other users, for a total of three books and five Kira, in the order of use : Light Yagami, Misa Amane, Kyosuke Higuchi, Mikami Teru and Kiyomi Takada.
